Independent Cyber-Security Research, Penetration Testing and Web Development

Protecting clients and their critical IT infrastructure, data and reputation in partnership so that I can meet and exceed their needs. Getting to know your security professional is an often overlooked part of the process. Yes, our work is über technical, but faceless relationships do nobody any good. I welcome my clients to ask questions, bounce ideas, and not just over the duration of an engagement. I am your dedicated security partner before, during and months after the assignment.

My Story

As far back as I can remember I have always been interested in how technology works and is implemented. Over time I have developed specific interests in network and web security. I came to Japan in 1999 where I am permanently based, engaging in independent cyber-security research and penetration testing. I provide a wide range of services including:

:: Website and network vulnerability analysis
:: Manual and automated testing
:: Penetration testing; both onsite and remotely
:: Attack Simulation
:: Wireless testing and packet inspection
:: Phishing and Spear Phishing simulations
:: Secure website design and development

I conduct my services on a low volume, high-intensity basis. My goals in an engagement are to attempt to evaluate the security of IT infrastructures using a controlled environment to safely attack, identify, and exploit vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities may exist in operating systems, services, networks, and applications. They may also exist due to improper configurations or risky end-user behaviour.

An incident of compromised customer data can be costly: negatively affecting sales and tarnishing an organization’s image. I help my clients prevent data incidents that might otherwise damage their organization’s reputation and trustworthiness.

I take your security and privacy very seriously. Please contact me by sending an email to me at richardjguy@protonmail.com. If you feel more comfortable encrypting your communications, my public PGP key can be found here. For my clients, I maintain a selective mailing list. Unless you specifically request inclusion I will not add you to this list but you can request inclusion and removal at any time.
